As classes finished for the semester, students were rewarded for their hard work with a perfect sunny day, allowing for a little rest and recreation before finals week. Good luck, students! Your fellow Spartans are cheering you on every step of the way. Photo by Derrick L. Turner.

A rainbow of blossoms adorn the W.J. Beal Botanical Garden, blooming just in time for the garden’s official opening for the spring and summer. For students looking for a place to relax and destress throughout finals week, the garden will host a variety of wellbeing breaks, including pressed plant bookmark making, journaling and wellness-oriented educational activities. Standing proudly on campus for more than 95 years, Beaumont Tower’s classic collegiate gothic architecture contrasts perfectly with the backdrop of East Lansing’s ever-growing downtown. Photo by Derrick L. Turner.

President Kevin M. Guskiewicz got a glimpse of Spartan engineering innovation during the College of Engineering’s Design Day on April 19. During the event, Guskiewicz visited the Biomechanical Design Research Lab, directed by Tamara Bush. The lab focuses on projects that apply engineering techniques and principles to the human body through experimentation, modeling, method and device development. Photo by Derrick L. Turner.
