The branches were decorated by student interns in the Beal Scholars Internship Program, a mentored experience for MSU undergraduate students from any discipline to gain professional experience in botanical garden operations and project management. It’s often joked that there are two seasons in Michigan — winter and construction. While we would argue that our state has four stunning seasons to enjoy, it’s undeniable that there’s a lot of big changes coming to campus this summer.
