Colorful yarn-wrapped branches decorate the entrance to
W.J. Beal Botanical Garden. The branches were decorated by student interns in the Beal Scholars Internship Program, a mentored experience for MSU undergraduate students from any discipline to gain professional experience in botanical garden operations and project management. Students in the program develop projects that help further the garden’s mission, and work closely with mentors, garden staff and the MSU community to achieve their goals. Photo by Derrick L. Turner.
