With the release of U.S. News & World Report’s 2027 edition of Best Colleges, Michigan State University has seven undergraduate programs ranked in the top 25 in the nation, an increase of one program over last year’s rankings.
“The academic success of our students is strongly rooted in the dedication, expertise and research excellence of our world-class faculty and academic staff — a reflection of this ranking and the many other rankings and accolades Michigan State has earned and continues to receive,” said MSU President Kevin M. Guskiewicz, Ph.D. “These recognitions mirror the quality of the educational experience our students receive and the opportunities they have to learn, discover and prepare for success beyond the classroom. Together, as one team, we are preparing Spartans with the knowledge, skills and experiences they need to thrive in a changing workforce and throughout their lives.”
MSU ranks No. 69 overall and No. 30 among public institutions in the “National Universities” category, marking the fourth year in a row of earning a top 30 public university ranking.
U.S. News & World Report ranks the following MSU undergraduate programs in the nation’s top 25:
