This week, more than 10,000 Michigan State University students will celebrate what they have spent years working toward: graduation.

Each degree recognizes personal achievement and tremendous hard work. But at MSU, it represents so much more — a transformation shaped by the people, experiences and purpose that define this place.

It’s found in the faculty and staff who encourage students to go further and support them every step of the way. In the classmates who become collaborators, and lifelong friends. In a community that doesn’t end at commencement but continues wherever Spartans go around the world.

It’s built through experiences that don’t happen everywhere, from research that changes lives to unique opportunities that stretch across cultures, disciplines and perspectives. Experiences that challenge students and shape who they will become.

Here’s to the class of 2026. May you use the lessons learned at MSU to make your mark, and may the memories made here always stay with you. Because you are a Spartan — forever.
