Michigan State University was recently named to a list of “Dream Schools,” which may not come as a surprise to Spartans.
Journalist Jeffrey Selingo’s book, “Dream School: Finding the College That’s Right for You,” includes MSU in a list of 75 colleges that fit the profile of institutions that provide high-quality education, excellent student experiences and great employment outcomes.
In a blog post, Mark Largent, vice provost and dean of Undergraduate Education at MSU dives into what this designation means for students and their families as they choose which school to attend. What does student success mean to them? Which experiences do they value the most? How do they define their ‘dream school’?
MSU’s focus on access, value and outcomes combined with a priority to provide unique opportunities on a campus that has a close-knit community feel make it a dream school for Spartans past and present. While we can’t help but agree with the designation, we think Spartans say it best. Here, we highlight a few LinkedIn and Facebook comments from real Spartans sharing their MSU experiences online. We’ve removed names and personal details to safeguard privacy.
