MSU prepares to celebrate International Education Week

International Education Week 2025 will be celebrated Nov. 17-21 with events occurring across campus. IEW recognizes the importance of global learning and international exchange worldwide, including Michigan State University’s international partnerships, practitioners and scholars.

“Global engagement is woven into the fabric of our university. As International Education Week approaches each year, remember, access to global learning and opportunities for international education are emphasized every day, all year at MSU,” said Opal Leeman Bartzis, assistant dean for global learning and innovation and executive director for education abroad.

“Not only is international engagement essential for providing students the skills and experiences to become global citizens, but it also fosters curiosity and knowledge that make them more employable in an increasingly interconnected world.”

Some events scheduled prior to the start of IEW and during the week itself include:

• Global Festival- Experience the world in just one day at the largest international celebration of the year, including cultural exhibits, live performances, a gift shop and more!
• Global Get-Together ​- This Fulbright mixer is intended to introduce returned scholars and visiting scholars. Be sure to RSVP to help with planning purposes.

• IEW Faculty Panel: Pursuing MSU’s 2030 Excellence for Global Impact Plan
