Henry Ford Health + Michigan State University Health Sciences was honored during Michigan State University’s Homecoming football game with a special on-field recognition celebrating five years of partnership. During the ceremony, senior leaders from both Henry Ford Health and MSU — including those guiding the landmark collaboration — were presented with the official game ball to commemorate the milestone.
“We are one team,” said Norman Hubbard, president of Henry Ford Health + Michigan State University Health Sciences and MSU’s senior vice president for Health Sciences. “This partnership is about more than collaboration — it’s about changing the game for how we deliver, discover and train the next generation together. The progress we’ve made over these five years shows what’s possible when we truly work as one and we look forward to what’s next.”
Joining Hubbard on the field before kick-off was Michigan State University President Kevin M. Guskiewicz, Ph.D., Henry Ford Health President and CEO Bob Riney and Henry Ford + MSU Chief Administrative Officer Teri Grieb.
The recognition celebrates the five-year anniversary of the partnership and its shared vision and commitment to joint research and discovery and to elevate quality, experience and value in clinical care.
As part of making that vision a reality, the partnership recently installed its first exterior signage featuring the Henry Ford + MSU partnership logo on the main MSU Health Care building in East Lansing. Plans are underway to expand this visibility by adding signage across public spaces on MSU campus buildings, further highlighting the impact of the partnership.
“Our partnership is creating a lasting impact,” said Grieb. “With more than 450 joint faculty appointments and 182 research grants awarded, we’re expanding what’s possible in research, education and care.”
