The United States is currently experiencing the largest blood shortage in a generation.
Blood shortages affect everyone: families during emergencies, mothers during complicated childbirths, people undergoing cancer treatments or those who need complex surgeries.
MSU students, faculty, alumni and friends can help saves lives and bring home $1 million to East Lansing by donating blood.
On Oct. 30, MSU is holding an on-campus blood drive as part of a Big-Ten conference-wide competition. "The We Give Blood Drive" is an initiative from global healthcare company Abbott and the Big Ten.
