MSU DPPS Citizen’s Police Academy is an eight-week class that meets each Wednesday in the fall semester for two hours. Comprising faculty, staff, students and community members, participants receive a behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings of the MSU Department of Police and Public Safety. Captain Florene McGlothian-Taylor, who oversees diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging efforts as well as strategic recruitment initiatives, has overseen the academy for three years.
