Advanced degree recipients celebrated their accomplishments on Friday, April 26 in the Breslin Center. Master’s and educational specialist degree recipients were congratulated with a speech by Michigan State University Federal Credit Union President and Chief Executive Officer April Clobes, and Bolaji Balogun, CEO of banking firm Chapel Hill Denham in Nigeria and co-founder and director of Econet Wireless Nigeria, addressed doctoral degree recipients. With spring semester over, more than 10,000 Spartans begin the next phase of their academic and professional journeys — graduating from baccalaureate, master’s, doctoral and professional programs in ceremonies running April 26 through May 10. The record-breaking graduating undergraduate class boasts students from 80 Michigan counties, 47 states and 51 countries, with 272 graduates earning perfect 4.0 GPAs. Photo by Derrick L. Turner.
