62 MSU graduates receive Board of Trustees’ Award for academic excellence, 4.0 GPA

Sixty-two Michigan State University graduates accomplished what many aspire to achieve – a perfect GPA.

During its Dec. 15 meeting, the MSU Board of Trustees presented the group of graduating seniors with the Board of Trustees’ Award, recognizing their achievement of the highest scholastic average one can receive, a 4.0 GPA.

In addition to being recognized by the Board of Trustees, students also will be acknowledged during their individual commencement ceremonies in December and will receive $1,000 from the university for their accomplishments.

The students honored for this achievement include:

  • Jeremy G. Austin, who earned a bachelor’s in statistics from the College of Natural Science, is from Burton, Michigan, and attended Goodrich High School.
  • Quenton W. Bortmas, who earned a bachelor’s in landscape architecture from the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, is from Manchester, Michigan, and attended Manchester High School.
  • Christopher E. Bridges, who earned a bachelor’s in microbiology from the College of Natural Science, is an honor student from Minooka, Illinois, and attended Providence Catholic High School.
  • Anna K. Brown, who earned a bachelor’s in criminal justice from the College of Social Science, is from Ionia, Michigan, and attended Ionia High School.
  • Grant B. Carr, who earned a bachelor’s in computer science from the College of Engineering, is from Fenton, Michigan, and attended Fenton High School.
  • Evelyn A. Cook, who earned a bachelor’s in anthropology from the College of Social Science, is an honor student from Franklin, Tennessee, and attended Franklin High School.
  • Natalie R. Currie, who earned a bachelor’s in biochemistry and molecular biology from Lyman Briggs College, is an honor student from Grand Haven, Michigan, and attended Grand Haven High School.
  • Nathaniel I. Dantzer, who earned a bachelor’s in marketing from the Eli Broad College of Business, is an honor student from South Lyon, Michigan, and attended South Lyon East High School.
  • Aidan R. Davis, who earned a bachelor’s in human biology from Lyman Briggs College, is an honor student from Farmington Hills, Michigan, and attended Wylie E. Groves High School.
  • Anjali S. Desai, who earned a bachelor’s in neuroscience from the College of Natural Science, is an honor student from Lake Orion, Michigan, and attended Lake Orion High School.
  • Angel S. Eisenhuth, who earned a bachelor’s in microbiology from Lyman Briggs College, is an honor student from Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and attended Greater Johnstown High School.
  • Victoria K. Fex, who earned a bachelor’s in neuroscience from Lyman Briggs College, is an honor student from Pleasant Lake, Michigan, and attended Northwest High School.
  • Mariah D. Fletcher, who earned a bachelor’s in criminal justice from the College of Social Science, is an honor student from Grand Ledge, Michigan, and attended Grand Ledge High School.
  • Joeleen F. Gaffney Sr., who earned a bachelor’s in statistics from the College of Natural Science, is from Fort Gratiot, Michigan, and attended Marysville High School.
  • Jordan M. Gembarski, who earned a bachelor’s in zoology from Lyman Briggs College, is an honor student from Lake Orion, Michigan, and attended Lake Orion High School.
  • Britani H. Goren, who earned a bachelor’s in environmental engineering from the College of Engineering, is from Haslett, Michigan, and attended Holt High School.
  • Ravdeep S. Grewa, who earned a bachelor’s in computer science from the College of Engineering, is an honor student from Okemos, Michigan, and attended Okemos High School.
  • Nathan J. Gu, who earned a bachelor’s in computer science from the College of Engineering, is from Canton, Michigan, and attended Salem High School.
  • Alyssa N. Hennessey, who earned a bachelor’s in neuroscience from the College of Natural Science, is an honor student from Davison, Michigan, and attended Davison High School.
  • Tyler Z. Huebner, who earned a bachelor’s in accounting from the Eli Broad College of Business, is an honor student from Livonia, Michigan, and attended ClarencevilleHigh School.
  • Zachary A. Kam, who earned a bachelor’s in biology from Lyman Briggs College, is an honor student from West Bloomfield, Michigan, and attended Bloomfield Hills High School.
  • Jonathan A. Kho, who earned a bachelor’s in astrophysics from the College of Natural Science, is an honor student from Arlington Heights, Illinois, and attended Prospect High School.
  • Nathan D. Kowalski, who earned a bachelor’s in mechanical engineering and computer science from the College of Engineering, is an honor student from Mount Prospect, Illinois, and attended Prospect High School.
  • Megan C. Lebbie, who earned a bachelor’s in nursing from the College of Nursing, is an honor student from Rockford, Michigan, and attended Rockford Senior High School.
  • Songyang Ma, who earned a bachelor’s in finance from the Eli Broad College of Business, is an honor student from Hefei, China, and attended Hefei Luyang Senior High School.
  • Leland R. Macke, who earned a bachelor’s in supply chain management from the Eli Broad College of Business, is an honor student from Traverse City, Michigan, and attended Glen Lake Secondary School.
  • Theresa V. McDonald, who earned a bachelor’s in packaging from the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, is from Highland, Michigan, and attended International Academy Okma.
  • Madeline A. Moreno, who earned a bachelor’s in human biology from Lyman Briggs College, is an honor student from Haslett, Michigan, and attended Haslett High School.
  • Tyler K. Mussen, who earned a bachelor’s in finance from the Eli Broad College of Business, is an honor student from Plymouth, Michigan, and attended Plymouth High School.
  • Ryan D. Newcomb, who earned a bachelor’s in arts and humanities from the Residential College in Arts and Humanities, is from Brighton, Michigan, and attended Brighton High School.
  • Miquela E. Ochoa, who earned a bachelor’s in hospitality business from the Eli Broad College of Business, is from Birch Run, Michigan, and attended Birch Run High School.
  • Jacob D. Okulewicz, who earned a bachelor’s in physiology from the College of Natural Science, is an honor student from East Amherst, New York, and attended Williamsville High School North.
  • Elliot G. Pancioli, who earned a bachelor’s in agriculture, food and natural resources education from the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, is from Cincinnati, Ohio, and attended Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy.
  • Miranda L. Pelton, who earned a bachelor’s in applied engineering sciences from the College of Engineering, is from Clarkston, Michigan, and attended Clarkston Senior High School.

  • Ailie R. Raske, who earned a bachelor’s in human biology from the College of Natural Science, is an honor student from Wixom, Michigan, and attended Walled Lake Western High School.
  • Advait Rathi, who earned a bachelor’s in psychology from the College of Social Science, is an honor student from Ghaziabad, India, and attended Amity International School.
  • Francesca M. Rea, who earned a bachelor’s in kinesiology from the College of Education, is from Macomb, Michigan, and attended Utica High School.

  • Tanvi Sharma, who earned a bachelor’s in genomics and molecular genetics from Lyman Briggs College, is from Canton, Michigan, and attended Plymouth High School.
  • AnnaLiese A. Singer, who earned a bachelor’s in environmental biology and zoology from the College of Natural Science, is an honor student from Howell, Michigan, and attended Pinckney Community High School.
  • Rami Barnat, who earned a bachelor’s in applied engineering sciences from the College of Engineering, is from Ann Arbor, Michigan, and attended Pioneer High School.
  • Parker R. Stager, who earned a bachelor’s in human biology from Lyman Briggs College, is an honor student from East Lansing, Michigan, and attended Lutheran High School North.
  • Jay V. Stevons, who earned a bachelor’s in supply chain management from the Eli Broad College of Business, is from Dewitt, Michigan, and attended DeWitt High School.

  • Anish Vuyyuru, who earned a bachelor’s in human biology from the College of Natural Science, is from Troy, Michigan, and attended Troy High School.
  • Bailey G. Walker, who earned a bachelor’s in zoology from the College of Natural Science, is an honor student from Ravenna, Michigan, and attended Ravenna High School.
  • Colette A. Walraven, who earned a bachelor’s in veterinary nursing from the College of Veterinary Medicine, is from Grand Blanc, Michigan, and attended Davison High School.
