Interim President Teresa K. Woodruff, Ph.D., joined fans in the student section to cheer for MSU in the season opener against Central Michigan University. The Spartans seized the second half of the game to claim a massive victory, winning 31-7 and setting an excellent precedent for the rest of the season. With a little luck and a lot of skill, the Spartans could start a streak as they take on Richmond at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 9 at Spartan Stadium. Photo by Derrick L. Turner.

With more than 500 student organizations on campus, Sparticipation is the perfect place for students to find their niche at MSU. Each year during Fall Welcome, student organizations, MSU departments and sponsors set up tables on IM East Field, inviting students to learn about their groups and explore ways to get involved.
