  1. Farm Lane bridge construction
The Farm Lane bridge will be closed to vehicle traffic through late August, with multiple detours rerouting traffic for eastbound and westbound Auditorium Road; northbound and southbound Farm Lane; and westbound North Shaw Lane. The bridge will remain open for pedestrian and bicycle traffic.

  2. Student Recreation and Wellness Center construction underway
Construction on the new Student Recreation and Wellness Center will continue through spring 2026. Areas impacted include the field west of Wonders Hall bounded by Shaw Lane and Birch and Harrison roads. Additionally, Lot 70 on Birch Road across from Wonders Hall will be removed to accommodate the new facility.

Transportation notes:

  • Bicycle lane closure: The bicycle lane along Farm Lane at the south campus railroad overpass just north of Service Road will be closed through Aug. 18 to restore the retaining walls. This work will affect both the northbound and southbound bicycle lanes. Bicyclists will need to merge into the adjacent vehicle lane.
  • Sidewalk closure: The sidewalk and area near the northeast corner of the Main Library will be closed through Aug. 12, 2024, to accommodate the Special Collections and HVAC upgrades on the third and fourth floors of the east wing of the library.
