Two Spartans wander into Sleepy Hollow, part of the W.J. Beal Botanical Garden and a true campus hidden gem. Though the majority of the Beal gardens can now be found across West Circle Drive, the original test plots planted by Professor Beal in 1873 were 140 species of grasses and clovers planted in Sleepy Hollow. Though we didn’t quite make it all the way this year, the Spartan still celebrated the men’s basketball team’s impressive accomplishment of making it to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament. Most notable is the milestone this year marked for head coach Tom Izzo, who earned his 25th consecutive bid to the tournament — the longest streak for a head coach in NCAA history.
