MSU and Spartan Family Connections is hosting its inaugural Spartan Family Weekend Presented by MSUFCU Sept. 23-25. Activities for families to get acquainted with the university will take place at several locations around MSU’s campus.
More than 1,100 families — 3,500 individuals — are registered for the weekend, which commences with check-in beginning at 1 p.m. Friday at the Breslin Student Events Center. Families will receive a check-in packet and welcome gift.
An information fair will be held 1-5 p.m. at the Breslin Center before the Family Weekend Welcome kicks off at 7 p.m., followed by a showing of “Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.”
Saturday’s activities include an open house at the newly renovated Munn Ice Arena ahead of the football game against Minnesota. Sweet Encounters Bakery is catering the pregame open house.
Spartan Family Connections partnered with numerous campus partners as well as local community partners to provide families the chance to explore different areas of MSU’s campus, participate in fun hands-on activities and learn more about the local community.
Additionally, through a generous donation from MSUFCU as well as donations to the Spartan Family Connections Programming Fund, support is being provided to more than 60 families who would have otherwise been unable to attend.
