Each semester the Michigan State University Board of Trustees recognizes graduating seniors who earned the highest scholastic average, a 4.0 cumulative GPA.

For the summer 2022 semester, 18 students received the Board of Trustees Award. In addition to the award, students will receive $1,000 from the university for their accomplishments and be recognized in the next Board of Trustees meeting.

The students who received recognition are:

Mitchell C. Baggett: Finance, Eli Broad College of Business. Baggett is from Grand Blanc, Michigan, and attended Grand Blanc Community School.

Nicholas C. Battjes: Environmental Geosciences, College of Natural Science. Battjes is from Fowlerville, Michigan, and attended Williamston High School.

Nathaniel T. Chevalier: Linguistics, College of Arts and Letters. Chevalier is from Rochester, Michigan, and attended Stoney Creek High School.

Stephanie Chow: Supply Chain Management, Eli Broad College of Business. Chow is from Portland, Oregon, and attended Walled Lake Western High School.

Caitlin M. Farra: Zoology, College of Natural Science and member of the Honors College. Farra is from Lansing, Michigan, and attended Okemos High School.

Katherine G. Frieden: Psychology, College of Social Science and member of the Honors College. Frieden is from Northbrook, Illinois, and attended Glenbrook North High School.

Afton C. Glynn: Education, College of Education. Glynn is from Grand Rapids, Michigan, and attended C.A. Frost Environmental Science Academy.

Patrick G. Klein Jr.: Environmental Studies and Sustainability, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Klein is from St. Johns, Michigan, and attended St. Johns High School.

Kaitlyn M. Kramer: Communicative Sciences and Disorders, College of Communication Arts and Sciences and member of the Honors College. Kramer is from Fenton, Michigan, and attended Powers Catholic High School.

Kevin Li: Supply Chain Management, Eli Broad College of Business. Li is from Troy, Michigan, and attended Troy High School.

Kaylee A. McCarthy: Arts and Humanities, Residential College in Arts and Humanities, Art History and Visual Culture, College of Arts and Letters and member of the Honors College. McCarthy is from Woodridge, Illinois, and attended Community High School District 99 North.

Kayleigh R. McRell: Psychology, College of Social Science. McRell is from South Lyon, Michigan, and attended South Lyon High School.

Alyssa K. Milam: Accounting, Eli Broad College of Business. Milam is from Milford, Michigan, and was homeschooled.

Aidan A. Morales: Forestry, College of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Morales is from Dewitt, Michigan, and was homeschooled.

Shivam K. Patel: Human Biology, College of Natural Science and a member of the Honors College. Patel is from Greenville, Michigan, and attended Greenville High School.

Jonathan D. Pyka: Interdisciplinary Studies in Social Science, College of Social Science. Pyka is from East Lansing, Michigan, and attended Zeeland West High School.

Devyn G. Vernier: Advertising Management, College of Communication Arts and Sciences. Vernier is from Midlothian, Virginia, and attended Midlothian High School.
