Following a 40-21 win over Maryland on Saturday in Spartan Stadium, the Michigan State football team moved up in the national rankings that were released on Sunday afternoon.
The Spartans (9-1, 6-1 Big Ten) rose one spot to seventh in The Associated Press Poll, and also up one position to eighth in the USA TODAY/AFCA Coaches Poll. MSU has been ranked in the top 10 of both national polls for six consecutive weeks.
