Seven members of Michigan State's field hockey team were among a group of more than 250 student-athletes who have been recognized as Scholars of Distinction by the National Hockey Coaches Association.
The Scholar of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2020-21 academic year.
The Spartans honorees were freshman Ashley Harlock, junior Lori Mack, senior Jillian Mahon, senior Meredith Ross, freshman Ellie Wheatley and recent graduates Maggie Cole and Meghan Cole.
