MSU receives national grand prize for Thrive

In November, the National Association of College and University Food Services announced the grand prize winners for the 2020 Loyal E. Horton Dining Awards. During a virtual ceremony, MSU Culinary Services was awarded the Grand Prize for the Residential Dining Facility category. The university’s entry in this category recognizes the allergen-free dining hall Thrive at Owen Hall.

Thrive is Certified Free From the Big 8 allergens (eggs, fish, milk, peanuts, shellfish, soy, tree nuts and wheat) plus gluten. As the number of students reporting food allergies continued to rise nearly 175% each year, MSU placed emphasis on expanding our food allergy program, with Thrive serving as an essential component to success.
