Senior forward Gabe Brown scored 19 points to lead three players in double figures as Michigan State beat Butler, 73-52, in the Gavitt Tipoff Games at Hinkle Fieldhouse Wednesday night.
The Spartans improved to 2-1 with the win, while Butler falls to 3-1.
Freshman guard Max Christie scored a career-high 18 points and senior forward Marcus Bingham Jr. added 10 points, six rebounds and a career-high six blocked shots.
