What keeps the Fairchild Theatre doors looking brand new at 80 years old? Trick question! Thanks to Infrastructure, Planning and Facilities craftspeople, the new doors to Fairchild Theatre are looking their best and ready to welcome patrons of the arts once more. With loving attention to detail and historic accuracy, the handcrafted doors are each made of nearly 200 individual pieces of wood and weigh around 150 pounds. Photo by Nick Schrader.

Greetings from East Lansing! Artists Victor Ving and Zak Warmann paint a mural on the wall of Harrison Roadhouse. The mural, which depicts some iconic East Lansing scenes, is part of Ving’s Greetings Tour mural project. The cross-country project consists of public murals painted in a vintage postcard style, showcasing what makes each city unique. Photo by Derrick L. Turner.

Horticulture student Maezie Nettleton helps run the Bailey Greenhouse and Urban Farm stand at the Surplus Store and Recycling Center’s public recycling center. Nettleton both works at the stand and grows the fresh produce available for sale.
