Tori Franklin makes U.S. Olympic team in the triple jump

Former Michigan State track and field standout Tori Franklin finished in second place in the triple jump at the U.S. Track and Field Olympic Trials on Sunday night at historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore. and qualified for the 2020 Olympics. She was part of a strong contingent of Spartans at the trials.

Franklin, who will be making her first appearance in the Olympics, finished in second place at 14.36 meters (47-1 ½).

The 2020 Olympics will be held in Tokyo, Japan from July 23 – Aug. 8.
