Spartans fall to Iowa State in first round of NCAA Tournament

Junior Nia Clouden led Michigan State with 16 points.

No. 10-seeded Michigan State battled to the end, but fell just short against No. 7-seeded Iowa State, 79–75, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament Monday at the Alamodome.

The Spartans ended the season with a 15–9 record, while the Cyclones advance to the second round with a 17–10 record.
