Spartans topple Penn State, 5–1

Jagger Joshua scored his first two goals of the season and Drew DeRidder made 36 saves as the Michigan State hockey team beat Penn State, 5–1, in a matinee game on Monday at Munn Ice Arena. Gianluca Esteves and Brody Stevens also scored their first goals of the season, while Mitchell Lewandowski added an empty-netter in the final minutes.
