Spartans erupt in third to top Minnesota on the road

Michigan State was one period away from getting swept by Minnesota and probably falling out of the race for the Big Ten regular-season championship.

Trailing 2-1 and being outshot 32-20, the Spartans were thankful their deficit was only one goal against the red-hot Gophers, winners of six consecutive games and suddenly looking like the best team in the conference.
