The 13th-ranked Michigan State women's golf team is in first place after the opening round of the UCF Challenge at Eagle Creek Golf Club in Orlando, Florida. The Spartans shot a 6-under-par 282 on Sunday to occupy the top spot, five shots better than second-place Miami.
