MSU’s Composites Institute donates personal protective gear in Detroit

In collaboration with Detroit-based national manufacturing innovation institute LIFT, Michigan State University's Institute for Advanced Composites Manufacturing Innovation donated personal protective equipment to the Community Health and Social Services Center in Detroit.

Together, MSU and LIFT donated:

  • 300 safety glasses (fit over prescription glasses);
  • 300 safety glasses (fit without prescription glasses);
  • 1,400 Nitrile gloves, and;
  • 60 Tyvek lab coats.

The Community Health and Social Services Center, or CHSS Center, is a not-for-profit organization that provides affordable primary health care and support services to all residents of the community, with special emphasis on the undeserved African-American and Latino population. Read more.
