Michigan State University’s Prevention, Outreach and Education department is accepting registration for its annual Navigating Change: Building Our Futures Together Summit. This free event open to faculty, staff and graduate students will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 13 in the Ballroom of the MSU Union.
“We’re excited to offer this event for the second year that will have a focus on institutional courage,” said Rae Chaloult, prevention specialist and organizer of the event. “We hope to build conversations that move away from just being compliant of our policies to embedding a culture of care into our community.”
The goal of the summit is to promote and educate members of the MSU campus community on eliminating gender-based violence on campus, empowering them to become advocates for a non-violent community and positively effect social change. It will also create an intentional space to focus on creating collaboration among campus partners.
Rebecca Campbell, MSU professor of psychology, adviser to the president and chair of the Relationship Violence and Sexual Misconduct Workgroup, and Jesse Beal, director of the MSU LBGT Resource Center will be the keynote speakers for the event.

• Breakout Sessions - 10:45 a.m.
• Lunch - Noon
• Deans’ Panel - 1:15 p.m.
• Breakout Sessions - 2:30 p.m.
• Closing Keynote, Jesse Beal - 3:45 p.m.
To accommodate busy schedules, participants of the summit will have the option to attend the morning sessions, the afternoon sessions or the full day.
