Spartan gymnastics bests No. 23 Illinois on Alumni Day

Michigan State gymnastics posted a team score of 196.150 on the way to defeating No. 23 Illinois at Jenison Field House on Sunday afternoon.

MSU scored above 49.000 on three of the four events, in addition to registering a season-high bars score of 49.125, to lead the Spartans past the No. 23-ranked fighting Illini on Alumni Day.
