MSU Ensembles take the Cobb Great Hall stage of the Wharton Center

As we ring in the new semester, the College of Music presents a week of band and orchestra performances featuring faculty-artists Gwen Dease, percussion, and Guy Yehuda, clarinet.

Additionally, the MSU Symphony Band will perform two works by MSU Composition faculty, Zhou Tian and Ricardo Lorenz, and the MSU Concert Orchestra will premiere a unique composition which invites the audience to participate with making music. All five performances will take place in the Wharton Center’s Cobb Great Hall.

7:30 p.m. on Feb. 4: Symphony Band

The Symphony Orchestra concert on Feb. 7 is sponsored by Linn Van Dyne and Mike Knox. The Concert Orchestra event on Feb. 20 is supported in part by the Arts Council of Greater Lansing.          

General admission seating is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors, free for students and those under 18 with valid ID. Tickets are available at the College of Music box office, in person at the Music Building, Room 102, 333 W. Circle Drive, over the phone at (517) 353-5340, online or at the door one hour before the show.
