Sophomore forward Sidney Cooks had another standout performance in the NCAA Tournament, but the No. 9-seeded Michigan State women's basketball team ran into a determined No. 1-seeded Notre Dame, falling 91-63 in the second round Monday in South Bend, Indiana.
MSU ends its successful season with a 21-12, while Notre Dame once again advances to the Sweet 16 with a 32-3 record.
The second round game was the final game in the Green and White for senior center Jenna Allen, who was a three-year captain for the Spartans.
