MSU Union to be open 24 hours during finals week

From 9 a.m. Sunday, April 28 – 2 a.m. Friday, May 3 the MSU Union will be open 24 hours to help students prepare for final exams. This change comes from student feedback received during the spring 2018 MSU Union Market Survey where 80 percent of the students responding said they were interested in additional 24-hour study space on campus.

The MSU Union features individual quiet study spaces, group spaces for collaboration and computer labs in the second floor Neighborhood Engagement Center and ground floor open lab.

In addition to the vast amount of space the MSU Union offers students to study for exams and prepare for final projects, the building will host resources and fun discounts to ease the stress of finals.

The MSU Union Food Court and Sparty’s convenience store in the MSU Union will extend hours until 2 a.m. from Monday morning until Thursday morning to offer a variety of food options for students studying. Combo-X-Change will be available until 2 a.m. for those who want a meal in the early morning hours.

On Tuesday, Biggby will offer $3 tall hot or iced specialty beverage, with upgrades available, between midnight – 2 a.m. On Wednesday, the MSU Dairy Store will remain open until 10 p.m. and will be offering 15 percent off all grilled cheese sandwiches, as well as specials through the week.

We wish our Spartans a successful last few weeks of the semester, and we hope they take advantage of what the MSU Union has to offer to help make finals week as enjoyable as possible.
