Arundell named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week

Michigan State field hockey goalkeeper Jade Arundell has been named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.

Arundell, a sophomore from County Kildare, Ireland, helped the Spartans win against St. Francis and Kent State this past weekend. Arundell played 60 minutes in both games and recorded 10 saves on the weeekend. Arundell recorded two shutouts in the victories to move to 2-0 in the net for the Spartans.
