Michigan State men's basketball head coach Tom Izzo was one of 15 coaches selected as a late-season candidate for the 2019 Werner Ladder Naismith Men's College Coach of the Year.
In his 24th season at the helm of the Spartans, Izzo has guided Michigan State to a 23-5 overall record and a 14-3 mark in the Big Ten Conference. MSU is ranked No. 6 in this week's Associated Press Top 25 and No. 8 in the USA Today Coaches poll.
