The College Swim Coaches Association of America announced that Michigan State placed both its men’s and women’s programs among the 710 college swim teams nationwide to earn Scholar All-America honors based on their academic performance in the Spring 2018 semester.
A total of 95 Division I institutions placed both their men’s and women’s teams on the list of Scholar All-America lists. The Spartan men earned Scholar All-American Top-10 distinction, ranking seventh in the nation with a 3.45 cumulative GPA, behind Grand Canyon, Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Manhattan and Davidson. The Spartan women boasted a 3.41 cumulative GPA for the spring semester.
