Michigan State head women’s basketball coach Suzy Merchant announced Wednesday the addition of Desmond Young to the support staff as assistant to the head coach.
Young’s duties will include leading the video coordination team that breaks down film for scouting purposes, as well as MSU practice and game film. He will also be assisting with recruiting throughout the course of the year.
“I'm so thrilled to be a Spartan and to be a part of the MSU family. Michigan State is like home to me. With my hometown being only 35 minutes away and my father being a Spartan alum, I grew up a huge Spartan fan and being hired at MSU is a dream come true,” Young said.
