By: Michael Sundermann

Michigan State University’s College of Music is presenting a lineup of ensemble performances featuring the MSU Concert Band, Campus Band, Symphony Band, Symphony Orchestra, Wind Symphony and Spartan Youth Wind Symphony, as well as guest composer Viet Cuong.

Performances will take place Nov. 28-30 and Dec. 2 at the Warton Center and Fairchild Theatre and include music by Beethoven, Bach, Mackey, Cuong and more.

Viet Cuong’s music has been performed across the globe by soloists and ensembles such as So Percussion, the PRISM Quartet, JACK Quartet, Jacksonville Symphony and Albany Symphony, at venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and more. Cuong holds awards including the ASCAP Morton Gould Composers Award, Suzanne and Lee Ettelson Composers Award.

General admission seating is $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and free for students and those under 18 with valid ID. Tickets can be purchased from the College of Music box office, in person at the Music Building, by phone at (517) 353-5340, online or at the door one hour before the show.

More information and performance times can be found at MSU College of Music’s website.
