Michigan State University will hold its annual International Education Week festivities starting Monday, continuing throughout next week until Friday.
IEW embodies the celebration of education at the international level, all while marking the importance of exchange programs and cultural diversity in colleges and universities.
Starting Tuesday, the Passport Acceptance Facility in the main MSU library will offer half-off passport photos in honor of IEW, and will be available until Thursday.
Thursday will also host two special events in honor of IEW.
From 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday in Room 201 at the International Center, the Arabic Tea and Conversation Hour will take place and feature an opportunity to speak and learn about the Arabic culture. Students from all Arabic language levels, as well as Arabic-speaking students at the English Center, are welcome.
Ending the day will be Bill Weir, host of CNN’s, “The Wonder List with Bill Weir.” Weir will speak on some of his amazing journeys across the globe at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Wharton Center’s Pasant Theater.
To finish off the week, Friday will feature a special Learning Abroad Conference, for U.S. students studying abroad and for international students studying at MSU. Students will present on their international endeavors.
