Tim Ehrhardt named USTFCCCA Great Lakes Region Field Athlete of the Year

Michigan State men’s track & field senior Tim Ehrhardt earned yet another honor after being named Great Lakes Region Field Athlete of the Year, as announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on Friday.

He is the first Spartan to earn the honor since Leah O’Connor was named as the USTFCCCA’s Great Lakes Track Athlete of the Year in 2015.

Ehrhardt, a senior from Addison, Illinois, is ranked third nationally in the decathlon with a score of 8,044 points and is ranked ninth nationally in the pole vault at 5.41m (17-9).
