Michigan State University will honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. during MLK Commemorative Week. Several events will take place on campus, notably featuring Robert L. Green.
Green is a former dean for MSU's College of Urban Development and from 1965-1967, he worked for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as the education director of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.
Green organized and lead MSU's first march the day after King's assassination 50 years ago, and he will lead a commemorative march alongside MSU's Black Student Association April 4. Event details include:
Events are free and open to the public. Green is available to the media for interviews by phone or in person from 9 to 11:30 a.m. April 3.
