Michigan State men’s basketball sophomore Miles Bridges was named an Associated Press Preseason All-American on Monday.
The guard/forward received 61 of 65 possible votes from the national media members who vote for the Associated Press Top-25 poll.
This is another in a series of preseason accolades for MSU’s sophomore co-captain. Bridges was named the Big Ten Preseason Player of the Year and was a unanimous selection to the Preseason All-Big Ten Team. In addition, he was one of 20 players selected to the watch list for the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year Award, was named the Preseason Player of the Year by ESPN.com and NBC Sports and Sports Illustrated lists him as the No. 1 candidate for National Player of the Year.
