MSU cracks top 8 percent in national ranking

Michigan State University ranks in the top 8 percent of universities in the United States, according to the latest annual assessment from the Wall Street Journal and Times Higher Education.

MSU came in at #80 out of 1,054 institutions ranked in the WSJ/THE Higher Education College Ranking 2018, released today.

Within the Midwest, MSU ranked #15 out of 275 universities.

The joint ranking by WSJ and Times Higher Education, a London-based publication, measures four areas of performance: resources available to support education; ability of degree programs and teaching to stimulate learning; diversity and inclusiveness; and propensity of the university to contribute to student success.
