The MSU College of Music presents the fifth annual Latin IS America series March 25 - April 17.
Latin IS America demonstrates the blending of Latin American and U.S. cultures by featuring music from Haitian drumming to salsa dancing and from an audiovisual experience to classical strings.
“The series has something for everyone to enjoy as we celebrate how music and art can transcend boundaries, merge cultures and serve as a reflection of the rich diversity that surrounds us,” said James Forger, dean of the MSU College of Music.
In addition to the three remaining concerts, the guest artists will offer workshops, lectures, presentations and composition readings for music students. These events are also free and open to the public.
