Nick Ward named Big Ten Player and Freshman of the Week

Michigan State forward Nick Ward has been named Big Ten Player of the Week as well as Big Ten Freshman of the Week, as announced by the conference office Feb. 27. Ward averaged 21.0 ppg, 9.0 rpg and shot .680 from the field in leading the Spartans to wins over Nebraska and No. 16 Wisconsin. Read more at msuspartans.com.
