Students earn 2014 Board of Trustees’ awards

At the April 22 Board of Trustees meeting, 35 students were recognized with Board of Trustees’ Awards for having the highest scholastic average at the close of their last semester in attendance at Michigan State University.

They all received a 4.0 GPA.

The students also will be recognized at their spring commencements May 2-4.

Following is the list of awardees.

Maytham Alzayer of Qatif, Saudi Arabia. Alzayer is a chemical engineering major in the College of Engineering and a graduate of AlQateef Secondary School in Qatif.

Travis Baes of Flint. A graduate of Carman-Ainsworth High School in Flint, Baes is a human biology major in the College of Natural Science.

Aaron Barto of Hudsonville. Barto is a human biology major in the College of Natural Science and a member of the Honors College. He is a graduate of Hudsonville High School.

Erik Bates of Ada. A member of the Honors College, Bates is an advanced mathematics major in the College of Natural Science. He is a graduate of Forest Hills Eastern High School.

Taylor Birman of Canton. Birman, a graduate of Plymouth High School, is a social work major in the College of Social Science and a member of the Honors College.

Jennifer Bonamici of Grosse Ile. She is a human biology major in the College of Natural Science. Bonamici graduated from Grosse Ile High School.

Karishma Chopra of Northville. A graduate of Northville High School, Chopra is a member of the Honors College and a human biology major in Lyman Briggs College.

Nicholas Dziadosz of Rock Springs, Wyo. Dziadosz is an English major in the College of Arts and Letters and a member of the Honors College. He is a graduate of Rock Springs High School.

Jennifer Ellis of Walled Lake. A graduate of Walled Lake Central High School, Ellis is a member of the Honors College and a psychology major in the College of Social Science.

Kayla Felger of Fort Wayne, Ind. A member of the Honors College, Felger is a human biology major and a chemistry major, both in the College of Natural Science. She is a graduate of Carroll High School, Fort Wayne.

Maen Hammad of Novi. Hammad is a political science-prelaw major in the College of Social Science and a graduate of Troy High School.

Kenneth Hanson of Rogers, Ariz. A graduate of Novi High School, Hanson is a linguistics major in the College of Arts and Letters.

Bradley Hull of East Lansing. Hull is an accounting major in the Broad College of Business and is a member of the Honors College. He is a graduate of Okemos High School.

Nathan Langolf of Fort Gratiot. A member of the Honors College, Langolf is a computer science major in the College of Engineering. He is a graduate of Port Huron Northern High School.

Ariel Lessens of Grand Rapids. She is a hospitality business major in the Broad College of Business and a member of the Honors College. Lessens graduated from East Grand Rapids High School.

Adam Liter of Eden Prairie, Minn. Double majoring in linguistics and philosophy, both in the College of Arts and Letters, Liter is a member of the Honors College. He is a graduate of Eden Prairie High School.

Heidi Little of St. Louis, Mich. She is a linguistics major in the College of Arts and Letters and a member of the Honors College. Little was home schooled.

Michaelyn Lux of Brighton. A chemistry major in the College of Natural Science, Lux is a member of the Honors College. She is a graduate of Hartland High School.

Jason Meldau of Trenton. Meldau is a chemistry major in Lyman Briggs College and a member of the Honors College. He graduated from Gabriel Richard High School, Riverview.

Jodi Meyer of San Tan Valley, Ariz. A graduate of Neuqua Valley High School, Naperville, Ill., Meyer is a nutritional sciences major in Lyman Briggs College and a member of the Honors College.

Sarah Miller of Centreville. Miller is an education major in the College of Education and a member of the Honors College. She is a graduate of Centreville High School.

Andrew Morton of Novi. A biochemistry and molecular biology major in Lyman Briggs College, Morton is a member of the Honors College. He graduated from Detroit Catholic Central High School, Novi.

Michelle Orlando of Grand Ledge. Orlando is an economics major in the College of Social Science and a member of the Honors College. She is a graduate of Grand Ledge High School.

Jone Ortiz of Novi. A graduate of Novi High School, Ortiz is an accounting major in the Broad College of Business.

Craig Pearson of Bloomfield Hills. Double majoring in biochemistry and molecular biology and neuroscience, both in the College of Natural Science, Pearson is a member of the Honors College. He graduated from University of Detroit Jesuit High School, Detroit.

Hunter Piegols of Sparta. He is a zoology major in Lyman Briggs College and a member of the Honors College. Piegols graduated from Sparta High School.

Alexander Randall of Portage. A finance major in the Broad College of Business, Randall is a graduate of Hackett Catholic Central High School, Kalamazoo.

Joshua Reside of Leonard. Reside is a human biology major in Lyman Briggs College and a member of the Honors College. He graduated from Romeo High School.

Michelle Rizor of Traverse City. A psychology major in the College of Social Science, Rizor is a member of the Honors College. She is a graduate of Traverse City Central High School.

Alexandra Rodebach of Clarkston. Rodebach is a food science major in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and a member of the Honors College. She graduated from Clarkston Senior High School.

Devon Rossman of Perrinton. A horticulture major in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources, Rossman is a member of the Honors College. He is a graduate of Fulton High School, Middleton.

Andrew Stone of South Lyon. Stone is a political science major in the College of Social Science and a member of the Honors College. He graduated from South Lyon High School.

Paul Van Gilder of Livonia. A finance major in the Broad College of Business, Van Gilder is a member of the Honors College. He graduated from Adlai E. Stevenson High School-Livonia.

Kelly Warsinske of Marysville. Warsinske is a human biology major in the College of Natural Science and a member of the Honors College. She is a graduate of Marysville High School.

Ranee Wiley of Byron Center. A graduate of Byron Center Senior High School, Wiley is an accounting major in the Broad College of Business and a member of the Honors College.
