The album, "Joy," by Root Doctor featuring MSU retiree Freddie Cunningham, has been released and is being played across the country. Root Doctor has scheduled two CD release parties in the Lansing area. There will be a Blues Cruise CD release party on the Michigan Princess Oct. 15 as well as a Green Door Blues Bar and Grill CD release party at 9:30 pm. Oct. 22.
Two band members have strong ties to the MSU community. Cunningham retired from MSU after 40 years. James Williams has been working on campus for over 20 years.
