Staff profiles: Scott Foreman

Two years ago information technician Scott Foreman took up cycling as a way to get in shape. Foreman, who works in the Controller's Office at Michigan State University, fell in love with the sport so much so that he began teaching cycling classes at IM West facility.

After a few years of participating in the Dick Allen Lansing to Mackinaw bike ride, Foreman decided it was time for a bigger challenge. He recently completed a 1,300-mile ride from Denver to Lansing, taking pledges from supporters for charity.

“I was looking for something a little more challenging, so I decided to stretch it out basically about two weeks which was about as far as I could go with vacation time and whatever, being away from the family, too,” Foreman said.

“I figured as long as I was going to do something as good as that I would like to make it very special.”

Foreman raised nearly $5,000 for the Greater Lansing Food Bank and the MSU Student Food Bank.
