The 21st annual Sparrow Children's Miracle Network Telethon, conducted May 29-30, raised $852,064, according to Sparrow Foundation Director of Major Gifts Joy Wiseman. All donations made in the Mid-Michigan area stay in the community to help local kids, and more than 10,000 children visit the Sparrow Regional Children's Center each year.
Michigan State head football coach Mark Dantonio kicked off his first year as the honorary chairman of the Children's Miracle Network at the Sparrow Regional Children's Center by serving as one of the on-air hosts for the CMN Telethon, televised locally by WILX-TV. In Dantonio's first hour on the air, the CMN Telethon produced $140,974.
