MSU Board of Trustees recognizes six students for academic achievements

EAST LANSING, Mich. Six Michigan State University students were honored today for their academic achievements by the MSU Board of Trustees.

The six students are all December graduates. Board of Trustees Awards are granted at each commencement to students having the highest scholastic averages at the close of their last semester in attendance.

Award recipients are:

  • Thomas J. Knezek of East Lansing, an interdisciplinary studies in social science and public policy studies major in the College of Social Science and a member of the Honors College. He is the son of Bernard and Mary Knezek, and is a 2001 graduate of East Lansing High School. He has a 4.0 GPA.
  • Lisa M. Meloche of Sterling Heights, a kinesiology major in the College of Education. She is the daughter of Kenneth and Christine Meloche, and is a 2003 graduate of Henry Ford II High School. She has a 4.0 GPA.

  • Luke Niewiadomski of Grand Rapids, an electrical engineering major in the College of Engineering and a member of the Honors College.He is the son of Mitch and Michelle Niewiadomski, and is a 2002 graduate of Catholic Central High School. He has a 4.0 GPA.
  • Holly K. Smith of Battle Creek, dietetics major in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and a member of the Honors College. She is the daughter of Barry Smith and Teresa Saleh, both of Battle Creek, and is a 2003 graduate of Harper Creek High School. She has a 3.9 GPA.
  • Nicole R. McDonald of Kaleva, an accounting major in The Eli Broad College of Business. She is the daughter of Kevin and Delynn McDonald, and is a 2002 graduate of Bear Lake High School. She has a 3.9 GPA.
  • Jessica E. Boloven of Northville, an accounting major in The Eli Broad College of Business.She is the daughter of Ted and Linda Boloven, and is a 2002 graduate of Northville High School. She has a 3.9 GPA.
