A new video series was launched by the Office of Faculty and Academic Staff Affairs aimed at showing the impact Michigan State University faculty have on the community and their disciplines.
"It's an honor to be a service unit charged with the responsibility of helping make MSU better by supporting faculty and academic staff who in turn support the next generation of thinkers and doers,” Teresa Mastin, vice provost and associate vice president of FASA, said in an introduction video about the series.
These videos highlight Spartan educators who work to shape students, advance knowledge and make MSU what it is today. They cover a wide range of areas of study and practice including art, computer science and packaging, according to FASA.
“To whom much is given, much is required. Every faculty and academic staff member is privileged to have a role in striving to make the campus better, to make Michigan better, to make the nation better, to make the world better,” Mastin said in the video.
The series of videos range from 40 seconds to 1 minute and feature the commitment faculty bring to their teaching, the connections they build with students and the difference they make at MSU and in their fields.
Below are just some of the stories featured in the series. Find all of the videos at the FASA website.
